Main research areas cover nanofibers, air and water filtration, gas filtration, and composites. It was founded in the Istanbul Technical University laboratories and graduated from the «school» in 2014.

COMPOSITE TUBES AND TANKS

Within the scope of Areka-Composites, tubular composite designs and productions in different sizes and cross-sections are made. Considering the usage area of the composite tube/tank, pre-production modeling and analysis by finite element method are made before production. Performance measurements of composite tubes and tanks are made according to the relevant ASTM and EN standards of the final product.

The used reinforcing materials for Areka composite tubes and tanks are;

  • Natural fiber
  • Glass fiber
  • Carbon fiber

The used matrixes for Areka composite tubes and tanks are;

  • Unsaturated polyester resin
  • Vinylester resin
  • Epoxy resin

With helical winding, winding is performed at desired mechanical performance values, angle and wall thickness.

Areka carbonfiber rollers

Carbon fiber rollers have been used for many years in systems where continuous production is essential. Carbon fiber rollers are more rigid and tough materials compared to aluminum rollers. Since they are 5 times lighter than aluminum, they provide additional features in terms of energy consumption and product quality. For this reason, they positively affect the performance of the production line in which they are used.
